FAIRWAY
The remodel of and addition to this Paul R. Williams house was a measured study in contrasts. The Tudor architecture was radically overhauled to seamlessly blend with a newly designed modernist structure. The airy California attitude plays well with the retained touches of the original architecture in the ornately carved stone entryway and mantle and the wood paneling of the study, now lacquered in a glossy Chinese red.
The design of the house separates public and private functions into distinct wings. The new addition houses a family room that effortlessly bleeds out to the pool deck and outdoor dining, an expansive primary suite with his and her bathrooms and closets akin to luxury boutiques, and a wellness studio. The family kitchen is supported by a concealed chef’s kitchen. The public facing program includes formal living and dining rooms, a screening room and bar. Interior finishes create a quiet and cohesive vocabulary throughout the home and create a rich backdrop for the Owner’s unique collection of art and noteworthy furnishings.
