HILLS

Perched on a winding street above Chateau Marmont, this mid-century post-and-beam home offered sweeping views of the city and unmistakable potential. The remodel and addition focused on opening the house to both the landscape and itself, improving interior flow and creating generous, light-filled spaces transforming the residence into a cozy retreat.

An installation of Stan Bitters’ earthy tile wraps the central fireplace, anchoring the living space as its sculptural focal point. The architectural language of exposed beams and T&G ceiling demanded any new materials to remain true to the mid-century roots— Heath tile, travertine, and wall paneling infuse warmth and texture, while Henrybuilt cabinetry introduces refined, highly functional storage throughout. Jewel-toned hues create intimate, intentional moments throughout. A mix of new and vintage furnishings were selected resulting in a home that feels both faithful to its origins and thoughtfully reimagined.
