Park, sited in downtown Los Angeles, was designed to cool the
immediate area by several degrees in order to diminish the impact
of Urban Heat Island Effect. Utilizing the cooling properties
of water, plants and reflective metal, a combination of captured
rain water and grey water are used to fill the parkscape. The
water level fluctuates throughout the year according to rainfall,
causing the habitable areas of the park to continually change,
making the park a kinetic landscape.
