Using
ArtCenter as the site of a full scale installation, we chose
to work within the ravine underneath the bridge. Using newspaper
and steel as our material palette, we wanted to create an environment
that drew all of its cues from its surroundings. Immediately,
the invisible plane that connected one side of the ravine to
the other seduced us. The man-made geometric shapes of the
bridge and the organic ravine below intersected seamlessly
at this invisible plane. |
