BIOGRAPHY
Aimee
Less is a multi-disciplinary designer of objects and spaces.
Her designs exude familiarity, warmth—a bit of cheekiness even—without
ever sacrificing beauty or integrity. She brings a humanistic
sensibility to modernist aesthetics, creating work that elicits
emotion and a sense of belonging.
Aimee
grew up in Memphis, Tennessee. She received her B.F.A. from
Syracuse University and studied sculpture at Camberwell College
of Arts and Crafts in London. After working as a fine artist
and a web designer in New York, Tel Aviv and San Francisco,
Aimee completed her Environmental Design degree at Art Center
College of Design. In 2007, she debuted her furniture line
at the Milan Furniture Fair’s Salone Satellite and at New York’s ICFF.
Aimee
currently resides in Los Angeles. In addition to her own work, she designs environments and furniture for
Rios, Clementi, Hale Studios.
To
create things to be used, to be loved, to be with, to give
as a gift, to fit into a normal day, to match a festive mood,
to be proud of, is to create the culture of life that surrounds
us. – Eva
